Portraits of William Mellinger (1797-1869) and his wife, Jane Mellinger (1798-1871) who were early settlers of Shelby County, Ohio, are mounted on cardboard. Sarah C. Slocomb Russell, appears alone in a portrait by Fred J. Trost of Toledo, Ohio, and with her son, Thomas Russell, grandson, Fred R. Russell, and great granddaughter, Alice J. Russell in a portrait by Jno. C. Lewis of Toledo. A tintype portrait of Jennie (Jane Elizabeth) Cole was taken at the time of her marriage to Thomas Russell. A photograph, ca. 1904, of the Toledo home of Fred and Cora Russell is mounted on paper with a handwritten caption.
